When choosing to add a fabric to our linen collection, we research with fabric vendors to see what new linens are being offered. There are often options that we consider “slam dunks” because you know that they will rent. For example, your champagnes, white, ivory’s or metallics are versatile for any event and being neutral, will work in most venues. Then you have your linens that are questionable if they will rent or not but it’s a beautiful cloth that is worth taking a risk on. Another valuable step in the process is to make sure it is a fabric that will wash well and maintain its color and shape. With the volume of rentals our cloths see, it must retain its original beauty. Sometimes, before we add a new linen into our inventory, we have a cloth made to show at an industry event and will get client feedback. This helps with trying to forecast if a linen will be successful or not. With that said, velvet is a unique choice for a table cloth but it’s the fresh, fun addition that we need that keeps in step with current trends and styles.
Picking colors for a full collection of one fabric style, we make sure the different colors accent our current linens, so they can be rented together for any event.
By offering 12 colors of velvet, the opportunities are limitless in finding the perfect grouping of linens.
